"My soul is full of longing, For the secret of the sea, And the heart of the great ocean, Sends a thrilling pulse through me"
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, American Poet
Port Canaveral is the ultimate destination for great weather and exciting deep sea fishing. The buoys, reefs, and wrecks off Cocoa Beach provide an incredible diversity of sport fish and year-round fishing. Captain Joe has been fishing these waters for years and uses his experience to customize each charter to match your goals with our seasonal fishing patterns and sea conditions. His 32 foot center console Cape Horn is comfortable, fast, and adaptable to changing fishing conditions to ensure you have the best possible experience in all seasons.

Offshore (within 10 miles)
Typically cobia, kingfish, snapper, grouper, bonito, jacks, mackerel, sharks, barracuda, and tarpon are found within 10 miles of shore. Captain Joe will site-fish, troll, bottom-fish, live-bait, and chum to maximize your opportunities
Offshore (further than 10 miles)
Further offshore we'll troll to find the large pelagics like sailfish, mahi, wahoo, and tuna. Bottom-fishing for swordfish, large grouper, tilefish, and snapper provides some intense action as well. Once again, Captain Joe will utilize all of his resources to put you on the fish and keep you on the bite.
Our full-day charter allows us to cover more area and fish less-pressured and deeper waters. It also allows the flexibility to troll and bottom-fish. During our standard full-day trip we may encounter blackfin tuna, mahi, wahoo, sailfish, amberjack, grouper, snapper, and bonito.
Offshore up to 10 miles - 8 hours
A full day of fishing in waters up to 90 feet deep. We'll have plenty of time to troll for variety of fish (including cobia, kingfish, barracuda, bonita) and bottom-fish Cape Canaveral's numerous reefs and wrecks for favorites such as tripletail, grouper, snapper, black sea bass, triggerfish, and cobia.
A half-day charter is great for anglers who would like to fish for a mixed bag of species. Seasonal trophies like shark, kingfish, tarpon, redfish and snook can be targeted during a half-day trip not to mention the dozens of reefs that can easily be reached during a half-day adventure.
A nearshore charter packs a lot of action without leaving site of the shore. In addition to seasonal targets (shark, kingfish, tarpon, bluefish, redfish and snook) you're sure to find a mixed bag of exciting action within site of Cocoa Beach and Cape Canaveral.
For those interested in catching some of the tastiest fish in the ocean (swordfish, tile fish, grouper, snapper, mahi, blackfin tuna), we venture into the deep blue waters off of Port Canaveral where there is far less fishing pressure and abundance of trophy-sized fish. Captain Joe has the gear, technique and experience for one of the best fishing adventures our area has to offer.
Often booked as a combination swordfish/golden tilefish charter, swordfish are year-around residents in Florida's Atlantic waters. Swordfishing requires a lot of fishing line (nearly 1000ft depths) and a lot of patience. Normally found over 35 miles offshore, they are opportunistic feeders that forage the bottom during the day and hook-ups can be difficult. When you hook one of these tasty giants you'll experience the thrill of a lifetime.
